In a nutshell: A lightweight, all mountain ski for blasting around the whole mountain with your buddies.

K2 has shaken up their ski catalogue for winter 2019 / 20 and replaced the Pinnacle and wider Luv ranges with the Mindbender series – an excellent choice if there ever was one. The brand describes the Mindbender range as the ‘skis we wanted to ski’, and what you get is a collection of finely crafted planks that are fun to ride and aptly suited to blasting around the mountain in any conditions mother nature can throw at you.

The Mindbender 90Ti is a high-performance model that sits towards the skinnier end of a range that spans from 85mm to 116mm underfoot. And the Ti part you’re probably wondering about is a Titanal Y-Beam, a Y-shaped titanal plate along the length of the ski that’s designed to provide the ultimate setup for freeskiing; a natural-feeling flex with added power underfoot, stability in the tail and precision through the forebody. To top it off this snappy charger is super lightweight but doesn’t leave you feeling like they’re about to snap when you’re going maximum effort. You have a light wood core and Power Sidewall construction to thank for that.

While the Mindbender range is primarily freeride focussed, the Mindbender 90Ti was designed knowing that not every day can be a powder day; most days are, in fact, not powder days. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a good time, and this should be your ski of choice for creative resort shredding. Chopped up days-old crud, stodgy week-old slackcounty or uneven bumps on the homerun; that’s where the Mindbender 90 Ti excels. If your mind is bigger than the snow park and you want to have fun in everything from deep snow to spring soup, give this ski a look-in.
